Hi, my name is Saba and I am excited that you are joining me on my quest for a sustainable, sanitary, and most importantly, sparkly behind! Growing up in the subcontinent, I knew that the deed was only done when it was finished with a wash. Whether that be in the form of a toilet attachment or a handheld vessel (aka a lota) This cultural norm gave rise to my love of hygiene and cleanliness: one that I still hold dear today.
As time went on I discovered other loves: like travel and my children. As an active mom who loves to discover new places, I found that it was impossible to have a pristine loo experience in public restrooms. Nonetheless, I persevered — often using subpar substitutions for my beloved bidet. As time went on and times got desperate, one day shit hit the fan (not literally of course), and I realized that I had to take matters into my own hands–and the GOTALOTA was born!
The journey has not been smooth: From finding the right designer to choosing the perfect materials, there were many aspects of the GOTALOTA that had to be finessed and flushed out. However, the end result was worth it: I am proud of this essential, attractive, and very useful chalice, one that will make your bathroom break truly a restful experience.
2020 has shown us that we need to not only take care of our bodies, but also recommit to protecting our fragile ecosystem for generations to come.
